Scott Catamas

Master Relationship Coach, Emmy Award Winning Producer/Director & Co-Founder of Global Center of Compassion

Scott Catamas is a highly sought after Master Relationship Coach, Emmy Award winning producer director and co-founder of Global Center of Compassion. He has skillfully coached over 250 couples, individuals and businesses through challenging situations and led over 500 dynamic workshops throughout the US, Europe and Asia, shifting people in their relationships from distress and disconnection to “Compassionate Connections.”

Scott was initially hired by the Center for Nonviolent Communication to produce a series of videos about this work. Over a 5 year period, Scott traveled with Marshall Rosenberg, the founder of NVC, and Robert Gonzales, the President of the Board of Directors. During this time, Scott learned directly from these two masters, while shooting over 100 hours of video and editing it into several products.

Captivated by the transformational power of these tools, Scott created new teaching methods called “Compassionate Connections” including the “Seven Adjustments” which many find to be more efficient, practical and easier to apply in all relationships.

Affectionately referred to as Love Coach Scott, he is known for his ability to connect deeply with others without judgment, provide genuine empathy, and cut past story to efficiently get to the heart of the matter. His gentle and insightful guidance has assisted many to improve their ability to create heartfelt connections and lasting love in the relationships that are important to them.

With his theatre background and exceptional communication style, Scott’s workshops and presentations are entertaining and informative, engaging audiences with masterful story telling and real world examples participants can readily relate to. He is able to skillfully adapt his presentations to meet the specific needs and interests of those in attendance. Often he invites co-facilitators to join his events, whether local NVC teachers or experts in related fields.

As the demand for Scott’s services grew beyond his ability to personally address each situation, he realized the time was ripe to expand. In 2012 he co-founded the Global Center of Compassion (GCC). The Center has magnetized a Core Team of business and educational professionals who are working diligently to launch the organization and bring it to its full potential.

The vision of GCC, along with its Love Coach Academy (LCA) trainings, is to transform lives of people throughout the world by passionately sharing the tools of “Compassionate Connections” and similar philosophies using the most effective means to maximize the number of people reached in a heartfelt and meaningful way as efficiently as possible.

Multiple weekend immersion programs have been offered with rave reviews and more programs are in the works. Participants are leaving with hearts wide-open and new skills to apply to their professional practices and personal relationships. GCC is creating a beautiful community of connection and sharing with ongoing trainings through webinars, teleseminars and facebook pages.

Emmy Award Winning Writer, Producer and Director

As a young man, Scott won multiple Emmy Awards as a writer, producer and director of educational television. He has a long list of credits, having created hundreds of hours of original television programming for HBO, FOX, NBC, UPN, Showtime and national syndication. As the founder of TNRC Productions and The Educational Theater Company, Scott reached millions of children and teenagers with programs that educate and enlighten. He co-created a successful performing arts camp at Jane Fonda’s ranch that ran for 11 years and transformed lives. During this period of time, Scott produced and wrote over 100 original stage and television productions on the issues that teens deal with; the television productions led to multiple EMMY awards & were broadcast on PBS.

Personal

Scott lives in the Wine Country, north of San Francisco, with his two beloved doggie companions, Krishna and Bubuli, and travels regularly to meet with clients, facilitate workshops and deliver presentations and sermons.

In November 2011, Scott’s beloved wife passed unexpectedly. He writes: “My beloved wife Gabriele’s passage has broken my heart open to greater love, compassion and service in my life. The focus that went to my beloved is now being redirected to my friends and clients, in my passion for coaching couples & families. I LOVE to witness how these simple tools increase authentic comPASSIONate connection. I look forward to my next connection with YOU!”
